“The Gators” Swim Team is for children ages 6 to 14 years old who have already learned basic stroke techniques but want to be challenged in a fun, un-intimidating environment. The team practices only once or twice (optional) per week, for one hour per workout. Practices are built around fine-tuning all four major strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly) and developing center body (core) control. Students are taught advance techniques and drills to streamline strokes and swim more efficiently. Starts and turns are refined.

Swimmers receive a swim team suit with the “Gator” logo that is worn during practices and meets. Swim meets are held six times throughout the academic year. Meets are internal and swimmers race against fellow teammates, ensuring challenging match-ups. All participants receive medals or ribbons at the end of each meet. There is an end of the year pizza and trophy party…Go Gators Go!
